Volt Slovakia is preparing to run in the European Parliament elections in June 2024. We have lots of opportunities for energetic and ambitious people to gain unique experience building a pan-European political party. 

It’s the best of both worlds: starting up while benefiting from best practices where Volt has successfully elected 130+ candidates to the European Parliament, national parliaments, and local offices in Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Portugal, Greece and Bulgaria.

Which of the following volunteer opportunities excites you most?

Treasurer – A member of the Volt Sk Board. Vigilantly manage Volt SK’s finances. Do you have experience managing budgets, banking, taxes, accounts payable and receivable?

Fundraising Co-Lead – Secure funding from large and small donors for Volt SK’s activities. Experienced in sales, marketing or customer service in non-profit or for-profit organisations?  

Communications Co-Lead – Craft & deliver powerful messaging via Volt SK’s website & social media, newsletter, and relations with mass media. Are you experienced in any of the above?  

Policy Co-Lead – Input to Volt Europa’s policies, compare them with Slovak parties’ policies, and define how to highlight them to win voter support. We’re seeking experience with public policy.

Events Co-Lead – Create, plan & execute memorable, impactful events that engage with Volt’s stakeholder groups. Suitable candidates will have experience in event planning & execution.

Community / Membership Co-Lead – Recruit & onboard the new members that enable our impact to grow. A match for candidates with experience in HR, membership relations.

Compliance Co-Lead – Ensure compliance with Slovak (or EU, if appropriate) laws relative to registering, governing, funding political parties and their personnel. Legal or audit experience?

Assistant to the Co-Presidents – As their right (and left!) hand, help manage their schedules and travel, prepare them for meetings, public appearances. We’re seeking administrative wizards.

Internships – Not ready to lead, but eager to help drive success? All of the above need support!

About Volt

Volt Slovensko is the Slovak national chapter of Volt Europa, the pan-European political party. Volt Slovensko is in the process of registering as a political party to run in the 2024 European Elections.

Founded in 2017 in response to the rise of populism and the far right, Volt is active on all levels of government and is determined to win seats and drive reform in upcoming European, national, regional, and local elections. Volt aims to build a Federal European Democracy. In the future, the pan-European movement plans to participate in the European elections in all 27 member states and form the first truly pan-European political faction in the European parliament, by winning 25 seats from seven member states. It will do so with one co-created electoral agenda in as many countries as possible, presenting a truly unique and European approach to policy that has never been attempted before!

Already active in more than 30 countries, we encourage citizens to rethink and shape politics in their cities, in their countries and across borders in Europe. 

By now, more than 130 Volters have been elected at the local, regional, national and European level. We lead by example to foster a united, federal Europe.

O Volt

Volt Slovensko je slovenská národná pobočka Volt Europa, paneurópskej politickej strany. Volt Slovensko je v procese registrácie ako politickej strany pre voľby do Európskeho parlamentu v roku 2024.

Založený v roku 2017 ako reakcia na nárast populizmu a krajnej pravice, Volt je aktívny na všetkých úrovniach vlády a odhodlaný získať kreslá a presadzovať reformy v nadchádzajúcich európskych, národných, regionálnych a komunálnych voľbách. Volt sa usiluje o vybudovanie federálnej európskej demokracie. V budúcnosti sa paneurópske hnutie plánuje zúčastniť na eurovoľbách vo všetkých 27 členských štátoch a vytvoriť prvú skutočne paneurópsku politickú frakciu v Európskom parlamente, a to získaním 25 kresiel zo siedmich členských štátov. Urobí tak s jedným spoločne vytvoreným volebným programom v čo najväčšom počte krajín, čo predstavuje skutočne jedinečný a európsky prístup k politike, o ktorý sa ešte nikto nepokúsil! 

Pôsobíme už vo viac ako 30 krajinách a povzbudzujeme občanov, aby prehodnotili a formovali politiku vo svojich mestách, vo svojich krajinách a naprieč európskymi hranicami.

Dodnes bolo na komunálnej, regionálnej, národnej a európskej úrovni zvolených viac ako 130 Volterov. Ideme tým príkladom, ako je možné budovať jednotnú, federálnu Európu.
